December 28, 2010 - January 9, 2011 Medical Trip
The Dec 2010-Jan 2011 team will be primarily serving the medical needs of Mitumba.
This team will work with Kenya Doctor's: Dr Elizabeth and Dr. Charles to continue our efforts to improve the standard of living for everyone in Mitumba. Team members should expect to see patients dealing with a range of issues from the common cold to STD's including HIV/AIDS to Malaria, to malnutrition and everything in between.
There are very few mission trips as rewarding as a medical trip where you can immediately see the fruits of your labor.
If you have any medical training and a heart to serve those in extreme need, please fill out a trip application today. We also need non-medical people to help organize everyone at the check-in and to pray with those leaving the clinic.
The Dec '08 - Jan '09 team (which inlcuded 1 Pharm D, a Nursing Student, an EMT and a 3 non-medical team members) saw and treated over 600 people, and it was one of the most impactful teams we've ever sent. If you have been blessed with the knowledge and know-how to provide treatement for the body, please consider joining this team.
If you think you'd like to go on this trip, please check out the "Ready to Go?" page where you'll find more logistical info on the trips that GOYA offers and then head over to the Trip Sign-Up page where you can request a Trip Application.
